Just posted our Boat Repairing Guide

I just finished formatting the Boat Repairing Guide. These are little things that most likely will serve to organize sheets for boat repairing and organizing. It’s not really going to teach a person to fix a boat. But it will organize the workflow immensely. The amount of time you save in fixing when you keep a fixing log inside your boat, it’s almost like you can predict your boat.

Anyway. I hope the community can see that we are working hard on this collective. I still have a Young Adult novel to format. Wish me luck, lol.

I just finished posting our theoretical book

Our Book isn’t really theoretical in the sense of a scientific, academic work. Perhaps it should be called essay. But because the debate is sort of complex and demands a lot of knowledge that is novelty to a lot of people we decided to keep the name theoretical. If you want to check, in what we are based upon, theoretically speaking and learn something about Maritime Labor rebellion read our book! Lol.

It’s called Free Wind Collective Theoretical Book I hope you enjoy. Because despite of its simplicity it went a lot of research just to get it off the ground and tackles a lot of things just to promote this talk.

Back to sailing now, lol!

I just posted the first documentation!

Hello to anyone who is following our journey journal.

I spent+ the whole weekend working on a documentation that explains in a project what we are intending to do and how much it would cost, at the best scenario, the yearly cost of our ALV endeavor.

About ALV?

In order for that to work between ourselves and our community we though it would be a good idea to find a way to identify, explain and strategize the concept of ALV.

What is ALV?

Autonomous Learning Vessel is a term that came from the idea of Floating University. The take is that a Vessel we could acquire could be used in a form of University-in-a-Box but in a boat. We would have a land-hub with 2 people organizing several features of this project as well as connecting with different sectors and finding partnership to establish the necessary curriculum and access to them to the general public and a learning vessel to deliver that to marginalized communities. The ALV documentation explains that in more detail in case you are curious.

I’m really proud this was able to be produced. Time is an issue amongst us. So I if anyone ever read this that to have that in mind. It’s a first project. It will probably be refine with time.

We also saw how easier could be implemented on a Land organizing environment. Even though our focus will be on Riverine and Maritime communities and will try to pursue a group that could take that to land first. In the end of the day, if part of the office work is done, it become closer to implement that in a water-front scenario. So, we all win, wherever this start. Imagine how easier and cheaper it will be to buy an old beat up car, put on a trailer and kickstart a project of community owned college?

I don’t know you, but as an anarchist that sounds hot to me.

I believe that could also be people who might posses such boat with this capacity. So buying a boat may not be as much of a hassle than it would be to maintain it as a way to exchange solidarity that would benefit the actual owner of such vessel.

I probably need to find a way to get in touch with Blue Anarchists. I barely found out about them. They seem to have a good mailing list but other than that I don’t know much. I believe they would probably be interested in maintain conversation. I would definitely love to integrate their network. Goes well with the goals and network of this project.

Well back to work because this project ain’t building itself. So I gotta go finish this.

I hope you all have a beautiful day!

Our First Post

Free Wind Original

As of now I am a collective of 1 (one) seeking partnership to tackle this endeavor or look for people who share similar world views in order to organize together. I have some interested people but it is difficult to tell how far they would go with this plan. Different interests draw people in different directions for different reasons. I am glad I have found my path in Ship Repairing. Hopefully, in the future I’ll be able to tell a different story. One of successful organizing.

At the moment I will look for work at an anchorage or at a ship and focus on learning how to sail and get my licenses going. I am also finishing my first book which I will try to use it to gather support for this project.

Wish me luck and stay tuned. My Goal?

Have enough money to buy a 50+ feet sailboat, transform into a traveling Charter and through that infrastructure cross the seas and provide with first contact with Anarchism in those impacted areas. For that I need to find at least an Organizer Ally and support for the community to gather money. Let’s see how that works. The First International Vessel-Shop of Anarcho-Syndicalist Organization.

On the meantime, I will go ahead and finish writing and publishing my book with the same title as this blog and hopefully I’ll get some attention to the novelty approach of water-related-labor-organizing.

Wish me luck and Free Wind for all.
